This week we closed our #nofilter series with an intimate journey that takes place in a matter of minutes. We all have walls in our lives that come between us and our relationship with God, and in this story we see Jesus walk right through them.

We start in the 4th chapter of John, and we join Jesus and a woman at a well.

Jesus stops to rest after a long day of walking, and a Samaritan woman comes to draw water from the well.

During that time Jewish people and Samaritan people did not get along. They used to be the same people, but Samaritans chose to go their own way. From that point on, there was hostility between the two tribes.

So Jesus walks through the first wall of a culture that was aggressive and planted in negativity, and asks the woman for a drink.

John 4:7-11

Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.
