Philippians 3:13-14
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Well it's a new year. There is a strong temptation, at least for me, to look back at 2015 and see all the things I didn't do. I can look back and see all my failures; all the things there just wasn't time to get done, and all the times I chose not to do what I knew I should.
I could spend the first few weeks of the new year dwelling in the past.
Or
I could rise up, thank God for all the amazing things that happened last year; all the blessings he provided, all the answered prayers, and all the opportunities to do God's work.
I could focus on all the positive things that came from 2015. And then, I could move on to 2016.
What sounds better to you?
